- The forms muchit and muchia both require special comment. Muchit is given as a plural of muchi. No other glossary records this as far as I know. It is grammatically plausible for -t to appear as a pronominal plural marker; and even for it to be optional, cf. seki, sekit (also attested precisely by Schultze). Yet is generally rare, and as a rule muchi is used as often in a plural as in a singular sense. Furthermore this could hardly be from Spanish influence, since in Sp. (unlike Eng. "all" for example) "todo" varies for number. Indeed, if there is an influence it is more likely to be in the opposite sense; muchit might just be a calque on the Spanish plural "todos". It only occurs once in Masin, in the unnumbered passage (labelled 99 in the NawaCoLex edition) about Ne Mexikat: "Ikman walajket ne Mexicanos kichat guerraj. Inte yajket muchit." It is a hapax, and any general deduction therefrom is doubtful. This is not to be confused with the other "muchit" which is a contraction of "muchiwat" heard in Witzapan especially in loan verbs, cf. "muchit cuidar" used by P. López in IRIN Interview 12, around minute 32. Muchia as a form of "muchi" must also not be confused with another muchia, the reflexive of -chia! The pronominal muchia, although sporadic, appears a little more persistently. There are three occurrences in Masin, two in a single sentence. Its sense seems to be indistinguishable from pronominal (non-determining) muchi. Tik muchi is also interesting in that it seems to be equivalent to nujme, which is well enough attested from Witzapan to the Masin corpus itself: Sch glosses both as "allenthalben". In this non-determining sense, "tik muchi" occurs twice in Masin (13, 15), both times followed by "kan" and a verb: "tik muchi kan nemi shujshuchit", "tik muchi kan takati ne ajat".
